08 Contest Winners
This years contest had many excellent entries. All the top artist were working at the same incredible level regardless of age. Strikingly, the top 2 Middle School entries were as technically and artistically facile as their older compatriots.

We had a late entry come in from Maui's Iao Intermediate. One was awesome so I gave it an award of honorable mention. Perhaps it would have taken one of the top prizes. Turns out DOE interdepartmental mail takes 3 weeks to go between islands.
Due March 30, 2008 1 pm at the Manga Bento Meeting at Linekona Art Centter
Here are the rules:
Manga or anime related artwork
- 8 x 10 to 11 x 14"
- B & W or Color
Hand done or digital prints. Please use fixative for any type of media that will smear (pencils, pastels, etc.)
We would really like to see either manga pages or a full blown original manga.
3-D art (models, sculpture, cosplay etc) Submit an overall photo and 2 details of 3-D work.
Please submit work with the following on the upper left rear:
- Name
- Age
- Student/Teacher/Amateur/ or Pro
- Address
- Phone
Include a return envelope with appropriate postage or pick-up your work at one of the meetings (normally at Linekona, Sundays 1-4pm- check main page for calender: Manga-bento.com) Unclaimed work will be recycled at our discretion.
Drop off your work at any Mangabento meeting or to

DO NOT drop off work at the Academy of Arts or Linekona Art Center's office. Our hosts cannot be responsible for storing or delivering your work to us. Drop off work only during meeting times to a Mangabento member. You will be disqualified for not following the rules.

Awards will be art supplies and other manga related items.
We will announce winners at the Kon and the following meeting.
